The lack of primary school places across the North and East of Nuneaton is a serious concern. There are no spare places, before all the houses that have planning permission are actually built. This is critical. The nearest free primary school places in-year for some year groups are now in Stockingford or Bedworth. Next year the situation is going to worsen, as more families move into the new homes. There is no additional school provision likely until 2019 at the earliest, when the new primary school at the Lower Farm site on Weddington Road is due to be operational. The whole system is crazy.
This chart shows the number of planned places for each school year as at September 2017 and the number of places taken.
We are watching the situation for secondary school provision.
