General Election - 12th December 2019

Our candidate for the North Warwickshire constituency is James Platt.

James was born and brought up in Tamworth. He graduated from Bangor University in North Wales with a degree in Zoology with Conservation. He is currently studying for a Masters degree in Environment, Development and Politics at the University of Birmingham. He is particularly concerned about environmental degradation, sustainable development and the climate crisis.

Our candidate for the Nuneaton constituency is Keith Kondakor.

Keith was the first Green to be elected to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in 2012. He was then elected as a Green Party councillor for Weddington to Warwickshire County Council in 2013. He was re-elected in both 2015 and 2016. He is an active campaigner and is passionate about having a fair society.

Bulkington, which is also part of Nuneaton and District Green Party's area, comes under the Rugby constituency. The candidate for the Rugby constituency is Becca Stevenson.

Becca works at Five Acre Community Farm near Ryton, is Midlands coordinator for rural trade union the Land Workers Alliance, and takes part in the National Citizen’s Service.

Twelve years ago Becca trained to grow organic vegetables as part of the first group of students studying with the Soil Association apprenticeship scheme, and for the last five years she has been the head grower at Five Acre. Becca enjoys cooking and preserving the food she grows.

A vote for Becca is a vote for urgent action on climate chaos, a vote for a fairer Britain and a call for a final say on Europe with a People’s Vote. Crucially it is a vote for protecting the NHS as the cornerstone of a health service free at the point of need, funded by all of us.
