Public Space Protection Orders are also known as PSPOs. PSPOs are part of anti-social behaviour (ASB) legislation. There are now active PSPOs that cover the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council area, dealing with alcohol, novel psycho-active substances, dog control, begging control and highway car sales.
The Dog Control PSPO was initially passed in 2017 and covers dog-fouling and where dogs need to be on leads. The current version came into force on 10th March 2021 and will need to be renewed in 3 years time. Details can be found here.
The Highway Car Sales PSPO came into force on March 22nd 2022 and prohibits any vehicle sales for commercial purposes on:
Category A and B roads in Nuneaton and Bedworth
The first 15 metres of certain C and D roads where they form a junction with A and B roads.
Service roads are also included.
