Weddington - Mike Wright and Michele Kondakor

Mike has lived in Nuneaton for over 20 years. He is a self-employed Maths tutor, working across much of Nuneaton and surrounding areas. He has been involved with the Green Party for many years, and is passionate about improving the local ecology and sustainable transport.

When Mike stood in Weddington ward in the 2018 Borough Council elections, he lost by just 83 votes (Results: Labour 400, Conservative 1209, Green 1126). Mike was elected in 2022 (Results: Labour 434, Green 1171, Conservative 1096) and is hoping that you will re-elect him to continue to serve Weddington ward.

Michele has lived in Nuneaton for 25 years.

She is passionate about wanting Nuneaton to be a thriving market town, (as it was when she moved here), not simply a congested commuter extension of Coventry.

As a keen runner and cyclist, she is always out and about locally. One of her pet hates is litter, so she will often be spotted litter-picking and is really pleased that many residents now also litter pick ther local green spaces. If you know the solution to stopping people dropping litter, do let her know!

She regularly speaks at Council meetings, asking questions at Full Council and raising issues at Cabinet and scrutiny meetings. She has definitely spoken more at Council than many of the elected Councillors! She deserves to be elected as a Councillor for Weddington ward.
